FAQs

Why wear toe socks?

Toe socks allow each toe to move independently, helping reduce skin-on-skin rubbing while giving your feet a more natural, unrestricted feel inside your shoes.

Are toe socks good for running?

Yes. Toe socks are ideal for running because the individual toe design helps reduce friction between the toes while allowing natural movement during each stride.

Are they suitable for hiking and walking?

Absolutely. They’re designed for movement, making them a great choice for hiking, long walks, dog walking, travelling, training and everyday adventures.

Do toe socks help prevent blisters?

The separated-toe design helps reduce the skin-on-skin friction between your toes that can contribute to rubbing and blisters. As with any sock, footwear fit, distance and individual feet can also make a difference.

Will they feel strange at first?

Possibly for the first few minutes! If you’ve never worn toe socks before, the individual toe fit can feel different initially. Most people quickly adjust once they start moving in them.

Can I wear them with normal trainers and hiking shoes?

Yes. You don’t need special footwear. Move & Roam Performance Toe Socks™ are designed to be worn with regular running shoes, trainers, walking shoes and hiking footwear.

Can I wear them with barefoot or wide toe-box shoes?

Yes. The individual toe construction works particularly well with footwear designed to encourage natural toe movement and a wider toe spread.

How should toe socks fit?

They should feel comfortably snug without restricting your toes. Each toe should sit naturally inside its individual section without excessive loose fabric.

What size should I choose?

Choose your normal shoe size using our size guide. If you’re between sizes, consider how you prefer your performance socks to fit — closer and more secure or slightly more relaxed.

Are they only for athletes?

Not at all. They’re made for anyone who likes to move. Run in them, hike in them, walk the dog, travel, train or simply wear them throughout the day.

How do I put toe socks on?

Rather than pulling them straight on like normal socks, guide each toe into its individual section first, then gently pull the rest of the sock over your foot and heel.

How do I wash them?

For the best long-term performance, gentle low temperature wash and hang dry. Do not tumble dry.

Can I wear them every day?

Yes. They’re designed to move beyond one activity — from everyday walking and commuting to weekends on the trail and running sessions.

What if I’ve never tried toe socks before?

That’s exactly who they’re for. The design may look different from a traditional sock, but once they’re on, the goal is simple: less rubbing between your toes, more freedom to move.

MOVE NATURAL. ROAM FURTHER.
